Immersive Libraries and Museums

The library and museums technology working group is trying to solve an increasing issue in today world.  The libraries and museums are now unable to fulfill our need for good material when researching. With all of the material we have access to online the need for libraries and museums is diminishing.

This article describes how the library and museums technology working group  is looking to create a standard format for immersive libraries in virtual worlds.  I find it to be important because my biggest problem I have now with computers using programs that aren't compatible.

Using a virtual world for research is more practical than having a group of people meet in an actual location, and possibly the library wont have the necessary materials.  A collection of articles can be much more specific to the topic your looking for.
